Oracle has unveiled its new 2,900-square-foot office on the 11th floor of The Glass House on Gulshan Avenue in Dhaka, setting a new standard for corporate interiors. Designed by Principal Architect Mamun Ar Rashid with Yasmin Akter Liza, and visualized by Nasirul Islam Tonmoy, the space blends Oracle's global design ethos with local architectural language. The office is crafted to foster innovation, connectivity, and human experience.
The reception area features a bold teal-blue wall with an illuminated Oracle logo, a white reception desk, and cascading greenery. A frosted glass wall displays Oracle's fingerprint cloud motif, symbolizing the fusion of technology and identity. This sets the tone for a space where technological edge meets natural softness.
Throughout the office, warm wood flooring, fabric acoustic ceilings, and glass partitions create a balance of transparency and privacy. The color palette is anchored by teal-blue, complemented by soft greys, warm wood grains, and strategic pops of yellow and green in lounge furniture and plant life, injecting optimism and warmth.
Lighting is integral, with custom LED rings and geometric fixtures evoking data networks while ensuring comfort. Linear task lights illuminate workstations, and indirect ambient lighting in collaboration zones creates a relaxed atmosphere. The design unfolds through distinct zones: a welcoming reception with natural light, an open-plan workstation area with ergonomic furniture and skyline views, and collaboration and lounge areas with mustard-yellow armchairs and teal sofas beneath multicolored acoustic baffles.
Breakout spaces and pods offer flexibility for brainstorming or quiet reflection, reflecting the need for adaptable work modes. Materials are chosen for both aesthetics and function: wood finishes add warmth, fabric panels enhance acoustics, and etched glass partitions balance openness with confidentiality. Sustainability is also a focus, with locally available finishes and optimized natural light reducing artificial illumination.
Biophilic design is central, with plants integrated throughout to evoke calm and wellness. This human-centric approach, combined with high-tech branding, underscores a paradigm shift in office design. The project also reflects Dhaka's evolving design sensibility, merging global standards with local nuance.
Ultimately, the Oracle Dhaka office embodies the company's ethos of innovation, collaboration, and human connection. For the design team, success lies in how the space makes people feel—intelligent yet warm, efficient yet comfortable. It stands as a benchmark for corporate interiors in Dhaka, where digital meets tactile and global meets local.
